Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings, which included the work Drawn Blank, Last Meet Of The Season by Wilson Hepple. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson Hepple - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Striking A Bargain, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,772.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drawn Blank, Last Meet Of The Season von Wilson Hepple zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.782,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilson Hepple mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Striking A Bargain beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.772,65) versteigert wurde.
