The price achieved of USD 11,750.00 (€ 13,846.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson Irvine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selden's Cove, which sold at auction in March 2004 for USD 59,750.00 (€ 48,608.85).
