Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Selected Images Of Snowflakes by Wilson A. Bentley. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,352.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson A. Bentley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images Of Snowflakes, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 32,200.00 (€ 22,256.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Images Of Snowflakes von Wilson A. Bentley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.352,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilson A. Bentley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images Of Snowflakes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 32.200,00 (€ 22.256,01) versteigert wurde.
