Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 1,792.50 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy Boers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pseudozoisch (schijnbaar dierlijk), which sold at auction in September 2001 for EUR 5,170.00.

Die Arbeit Stilleven met duindoorn - A still life with sea buckthorn von Willy Boers kam im Juni 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.792,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Willy Boers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pseudozoisch (schijnbaar dierlijk) beobachtet, die im September 2001 für EUR 5.170,00 versteigert wurde.
