In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Andrew Wyld: Connoisseur Dealer, which included the work On the Grand Canal, Venice by William Wyld. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,349.07), 35% above the upper estimate. Other works by William Wyld have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,932.28) in September 2006 for the work On the Grand Canal, Venice.

Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Andrew Wyld: Connoisseur Dealer durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Grand Canal, Venice von William Wyld zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.349,07) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
