Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A view at Capel Curig with harvesters in the foreground by William Turner of Oxford. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,068.64), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Turner of Oxford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An April shower in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,601.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view at Capel Curig with harvesters in the foreground von William Turner of Oxford zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.068,64) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Turner of Oxford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An April shower im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.070,00 (€ 44.601,44).
