Turner / Oxford' (lower left, overmounted) and inscribed 'No.1 / View from Edge Hill, Warwickshire - the village of Tysoe in the middle distance, beyond which is seen the hill near Brailes, to the right of it and more distant, the / high ground above Northwick, Campden, Broadway and Ilmington, and in the extreme distance the north end of the / Malvern Hill. - Evening / W. Turner / Oxford' (on the reverse)
