In the Old Master & Early British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Before sunrise sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,941.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Turner of Oxford - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An April shower, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,601.44).
