Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Moon Mullings; and Wash Doubt by William T. Wiley for USD 630.00 (€ 536.49). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William T. Wiley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ediface Complex, 1981 in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 25,075.00 (€ 22,326.60).
