In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Red Parasol changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,385.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Somerville Shanks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tiddley Winks in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 219,144.87).
