Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British Country Life, which included the work Bringing in the harvest by William Shayer Snr.. The price achieved of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,688.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Shayer Snr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The itinerant rabbit seller in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 36,425.00 (€ 57,963.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British Country Life durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bringing in the harvest von William Shayer Snr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.688,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Shayer Snr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The itinerant rabbit seller im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.425,00 (€ 57.963,65).
