Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Three New York Views: Meat Market on West 12th Street, Snowflakes over Manhattan, and Blue Monday on Second Ave by William Sharp for USD 191.25 (€ 176.14). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 350.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Sharp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching Over his Sister in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 2,760.00 (€ 2,828.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Three New York Views: Meat Market on West 12th Street, Snowflakes over Manhattan, and Blue Monday on Second Ave von William Sharp für USD 191,25 (€ 176,14) erwerben.
