Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Pasture by William Samuel Horton was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,055.00 (€ 3,605.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Samuel Horton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Punch and Judy on the Beach in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,638.17).

Die Arbeit The Pasture von William Samuel Horton kam im Juni 2001 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.055,00 (€ 3.605,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
