The work Classical Scene by William Roberts was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 12,112.50 (€ 14,114.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chess Players in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,161,250.00 (€ 1,446,866.41).

Die Arbeit Classical Scene von William Roberts kam im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 12.112,50 (€ 14.114,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Roberts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Chess Players im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.161.250,00 (€ 1.446.866,41).
