Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in London held the auction Exploration and Travel, which included the work Aurungabad, from the Ruins of Aurungzebe's Palace (from a Sketch by Capt. Grindlay) by William Purser. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,943.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Purser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Constantinople, showing the Topkapi and the Suleimaniye with the Sultan's Barge in the foreground, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,156.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Exploration and Travel durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aurungabad, from the Ruins of Aurungzebe's Palace (from a Sketch by Capt.
