However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Purser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Constantinople, showing the Topkapi and the Suleimaniye with the Sultan's Barge in the foreground, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,156.28).
