In the American Art auction, the work Fruit And Asparagus changed hands for USD 93,750.00 (€ 84,088.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Michael Harnett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Violin in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 500,000.00 (€ 453,761.68).
