Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of Lucerne, Kapellbrucke, Switzerland by William Marlow was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,771.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Marlow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View From Richmond, Looking Towards Twickenham in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 384,000.00 (€ 295,430.07).
