Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Marlow could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work A Brawl On Market Day changed hands for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,867.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Marlow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View From Richmond, Looking Towards Twickenham in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 384,000.00 (€ 295,430.07).
