In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850, which included the work View Of A Bay Near Terracina With Figures And Shipping In Choppy Seas by William Marlow. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,157.50 (€ 15,711.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Marlow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View From Richmond, Looking Towards Twickenham in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 384,000.00 (€ 295,430.07).

Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850 durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of A Bay Near Terracina With Figures And Shipping In Choppy Seas von William Marlow zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.157,50 (€ 15.711,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Marlow erzielen.
