A top price for William Lister-Lister - as previously expected
In April 2021 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Beach Scene, c.1892 by William Lister-Lister. The price achieved of AUD 46,740.00 (€ 38,852.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Beach Scene, c.1892 is the most expensive artwork by William Lister-Lister that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beach Scene, c.1892 von William Lister-Lister zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 46.740,00 (€ 38.852,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Beach Scene, c.1892 das teuerste Kunstwerk von William Lister-Lister, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
