Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian Edward'S Beach, Mosman by William Lister-Lister for AUD 26,400.00 (€ 14,938.07). This price was achieved in the auction The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection at Sothebys in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Lister-Lister - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beach Scene, c.1892, which sold at auction in April 2021 for AUD 46,740.00 (€ 38,852.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Australian Edward'S Beach, Mosman von William Lister-Lister für AUD 26.400,00 (€ 14.938,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection bei Sothebys in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Lister-Lister mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beach Scene, c.1892 beobachtet, die im April 2021 für AUD 46.740,00 (€ 38.852,87) versteigert wurde.
