Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work The Blue Nets, Concarneau by William Leech. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,472.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Leech achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shining Palace in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 102,750.00 (€ 164,875.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Blue Nets, Concarneau von William Leech zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.472,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Leech erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Shining Palace im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.750,00 (€ 164.875,86).
