Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caves At Concarneau by William Leech was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,526.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Leech have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shining Palace in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 102,750.00 (€ 164,875.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Caves At Concarneau von William Leech kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.526,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Leech auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Shining Palace im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.750,00 (€ 164.875,86).
