Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Caves At Concarneau by William Leech. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 41,962.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Leech - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Shining Palace, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 102,750.00 (€ 164,875.86).
