Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A fishing vessel and a three-master off the South Foreland by William Henry Williamson for USD 657.25 (€ 612.02). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Williamson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping Off The Coast In Heavy Seas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,685.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A fishing vessel and a three-master off the South Foreland von William Henry Williamson für USD 657,25 (€ 612,02) erwerben.
