The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,057.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Williamson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping Off The Coast In Heavy Seas in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,685.70).
