Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Suzy Parker by William Helburn. The price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,841.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Helburn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Canoe, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suzy Parker von William Helburn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.841,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Helburn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Canoe beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.917,94) versteigert wurde.
