Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Lake District, Early Evening by William Havell was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 622.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Havell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodcutters at Park Place, Henley, the River Thames beyond in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,429.49).
