Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work The Hop Pickers by William Gaunt for GBP 119.50 (€ 171.99). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Gaunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Public Speaking in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,115.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Hop Pickers von William Gaunt für GBP 119,50 (€ 171,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Gaunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Public Speaking im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.115,54).
