Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Cattle grazing in a meadow by William Frederick Hulk. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 805.00 (€ 1,338.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Frederick Hulk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Peasant With A Cow Near A Wooden Shed; And A Wooded Landscape At Sunset With A Peasant Woman And A Cow; A Wooded Landscape With A Pond, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 5,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle grazing in a meadow von William Frederick Hulk zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 805,00 (€ 1.338,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von William Frederick Hulk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Peasant With A Cow Near A Wooden Shed; And A Wooded Landscape At Sunset With A Peasant Woman And A Cow; A Wooded Landscape With A Pond beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für EUR 5.250,00 versteigert wurde.
