In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Untitled (Landscape) (unframed) by William Crozier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,986.74), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Crozier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Siegfried'S Way in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 121,347.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) (unframed) von William Crozier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.560,00 (€ 2.986,74) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Crozier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Siegfried'S Way im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.500,00 (€ 121.347,56).
