Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William Crozier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2017. In the Irish Art auction, the work The End Of The Modern World sold for GBP 57,500.00 (€ 65,234.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by William Crozier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Siegfried'S Way sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 121,347.56).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Crozier erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Irish Art wurde die Arbeit The End Of The Modern World für GBP 57.500,00 (€ 65.234,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von William Crozier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Siegfried'S Way im Oktober 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 84.500,00 (€ 121.347,56).
