Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Inlet by William Crozier was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,680.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Crozier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Siegfried'S Way in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 121,347.56).

Die Arbeit The Inlet von William Crozier wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.680,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Crozier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Siegfried'S Way im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 84.500,00 (€ 121.347,56).
