Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Dublin Horse Show by William Conor was sold in the Irish Art, including Property from the Collection of Sir MichaelSmurfit auction at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 94,500.00 (€ 104,201.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Conor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dublin Horse Show, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 192,000.00 (€ 282,540.99).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 104.201,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
