Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Conor could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Irish Art auction, the work The Music Lesson changed hands for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,917.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Conor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dublin Horse Show in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 192,000.00 (€ 282,540.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Conor konnte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit The Music Lesson für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.917,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Conor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dublin Horse Show im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.000,00 (€ 282.540,99).
