Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Rousing Chorus by William Conor was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,628.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Conor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dublin Horse Show in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 192,000.00 (€ 282,540.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Rousing Chorus von William Conor wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.628,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Conor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dublin Horse Show im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.000,00 (€ 282.540,99).
