Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Conor could be acquired at Bonhams in Dublin in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Irish SaleVision & Voice auction, the work Figures on a Street 27 x 20 cm. (10 5/8 x 7 7/8 in.) changed hands for EUR 1,088.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Conor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dublin Horse Show in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 192,000.00 (€ 282,540.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Conor konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Dublin für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice wechselte die Arbeit Figures on a Street 27 x 20 cm. (10 5/8 x 7 7/8 in.) für EUR 1.088,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Conor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dublin Horse Show im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.000,00 (€ 282.540,99).
