Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work At The Pump by William Conor. It changed hands for a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,826.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Conor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dublin Horse Show in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 192,000.00 (€ 282,540.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Pump von William Conor zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.826,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Conor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dublin Horse Show im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.000,00 (€ 282.540,99).
