The work Young lady smoking by William Conor was sold in the The Irish Sale auction at Christies in London in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,770.16), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Conor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dublin Horse Show in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 192,000.00 (€ 282,540.99).

Die Arbeit Young lady smoking von William Conor wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.770,16) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Conor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dublin Horse Show im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.000,00 (€ 282.540,99).
