Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Fisherfolk returning with the catch by William Collins. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,068.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Collins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning - Boulogne in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 29,290.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fisherfolk returning with the catch von William Collins zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.068,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Collins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning - Boulogne im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 29.290,97).
