In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction The Collection of the Late John Appleby: A Channel Island Treasure House, which included the work Fisherboys and a young shrimper on the coast at low tide by William Collins. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,195.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Collins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning - Boulogne in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 29,290.97).

Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of the Late John Appleby: A Channel Island Treasure House durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fisherboys and a young shrimper on the coast at low tide von William Collins zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.195,00) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Collins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning - Boulogne im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 29.290,97).
