Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by William Bowyer was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,347.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Bowyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Walpole House, which sold at auction in May 2020 for GBP 4,062.00 (€ 4,509.27).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Bowyer wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.347,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Für andere Arbeiten von William Bowyer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Walpole House beobachtet, die im Mai 2020 für GBP 4.062,00 (€ 4.509,27) versteigert wurde.
