In May 2004 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE JOHN SCHAEFFER COLLECTION AT RONA, which included the work Study of a young Woman's Head by William Bell Scott. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 8,365.00 (€ 4,887.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Bell Scott achieve. Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion THE JOHN SCHAEFFER COLLECTION AT RONA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of a young Woman's Head von William Bell Scott zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 8.365,00 (€ 4.887,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Bell Scott erzielen.
