Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in London held the auction British and European Art: Online, which included the work Portrait study of a young woman by William Bell Scott. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,413.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Bell Scott achieve. Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait study of a young woman von William Bell Scott zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.413,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Bell Scott erzielen.
