Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Field in fog), c. 1910 by William B. Post for USD 1,250.00 (€ 899.67). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William B. Post - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in April 2016 for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,185.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Field in fog), c. 1910 von William B. Post für USD 1.250,00 (€ 899,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William B. Post mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images beobachtet, die im April 2016 für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.185,12) versteigert wurde.
