Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in London held the auction on paper | online, which included the work Untitled (Subway Drawing 1.2.94) by William Anastasi. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,119.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anastasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,023.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion on paper | online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Subway Drawing 1.2.94) von William Anastasi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.119,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Anastasi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 186.023,32).
