Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Acheff could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work She Said Yes changed hands for USD 37,000.00 (€ 23,778.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Acheff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Taos and Beyond, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 94,553.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Acheff konnte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit She Said Yes für USD 37.000,00 (€ 23.778,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
