Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree study, 1854-55 by William, 2nd Earl of Craven was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,500.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William, 2nd Earl of Craven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeune femme, probablement Lady Evelyn Mary Craven sur les marches à Ashdown in November 2002 with an auction result of EUR 42,300.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tree study, 1854-55 von William, 2nd Earl of Craven kam im November 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.500,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William, 2nd Earl of Craven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeune femme, probablement Lady Evelyn Mary Craven sur les marches à Ashdown im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.300,00.
