Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landschap aan de Wippervaart te Heemstede: an extensive polder landscape in summer by Willem Vester was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. It achieved a price of EUR 8,365.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Vester - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes, which sold at auction in April 2005 for EUR 16,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landschap aan de Wippervaart te Heemstede: an extensive polder landscape in summer von Willem Vester wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.365,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Vester mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes beobachtet, die im April 2005 für EUR 16.800,00 versteigert wurde.
